We offer classes in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz, following the IDTA syllabus along with Free Dance for the younger children and an introduction to Musical Theatre for those wishing to join our Festival Team.

Please note that we take pupils from age 2-16. Experience and ability are also taken into consideration when recommending an appropriate class for your child.
This is a fun and interactive class designed to help children learn what their body can do. Props are often used to encourage movement and curiosity.
Ballet (30mins)
Imaginations at the ready! The children are encouraged to use their bodies, to find different ways to move and tell stories. Think prince/princesses, fairies, elves, animals…
Tap (30mins)
Time to make a noise! The children will learn how to make different sounds with their feet like tiny taps on tiptoes or big loud noises stamping around the studio. We teach the foundations of tap steps, ready to progress later on.
(Inter: Age 11-13, Senior: Age 14+)
Our Inter & Senior classes are split across the week, focussing on developing technique and performance skills. We encourage and support our pupils to step out of their comfort zones and strive for their own personal goals
Ballet (1.5 hrs)
Ballet is the foundation of many dance styles so along with learning steps our classes focus on posture, technique and musicality. Following the IDTA ballet syllabus we progress through the grades, taking exams as and when students are ready.
Pointe Work (30 mins)
When a Senior pupil is strong enough we encourage them to go ‘en pointe’. What budding ballerina doesn’t dream of the first time they put these shoes on? Our pointe class includes pre-pointe for Inters to help strengthen the ankles, legs and core muscles.
Tap (1 hr)
Building on the skills learnt in Junior Tap our Senior classes involve more complex styles and routines, progressing through IDTA Grades. We also cover an amount of ‘freestyle’ tap which helps our pupils develop their choreography and performance skills alongside their tap technique.
Modern Jazz/Lyrical (1hr)
Building on the skills learnt in Junior classes, Inter & Senior dancers continue to progress in technique, confidence and artistry while developing their performance and storytelling abilities. Our Modern Jazz/Lyrical classes help dancers develop flexibility, strength, turns, leaps and musicality.
Should a pupil show interest in joining our Festival Teams then additional Private Lessons & Festival Classes are available which focus solely on competition routines.

Junior Dance
(Primary School Age)
This beginners class is designed to introduce children to a variety of styles including ballet, tap, free dance, and a bit of singing thrown in too. For complete beginners we recommend starting with 1hr of ballet and tap for the first few weeks.
Ballet (30mins)
As we introduce structured ballet steps like pliés, jumps and travelling steps, the children’s creativity is encouraged whilst also learning how to control their bodies and develop good ballet technique.
Tap (30mins)
Rhythm, coordination, and musicality are developed in this class through learning fundamental tap techniques such as shuffles, taps, and simple step sequences.
Free Dance(30mins)
This class helps build confidence, coordination, and imagination while allowing children to express their personality through movement to a variety of music styles.
Singing (30mins)
As an introduction to Musical Theatre and other vocal activities, the children sing to a variety of age-appropriate songs and learn actions and movements to express themselves.
