We’re having a different fancy dress theme each week in August, and opening our classes out to the public for children aged 4-11.
£5 per session for non-members (£2 if you come with an existing pupil)

General Conditioning & Limbering - Open Class 12-16 years
Looking to improve your flexibility, strength and overall fitness? Our General Conditioning & Limbering class is designed for young people aged 12–16 who want to enhance their physical performance, whether they dance, play sports or simply want to become stronger and more flexible.
Through a combination of stretching, core strengthening, balance work and conditioning exercises, students will develop greater flexibility, improve posture, build muscle strength and increase body control in a fun and supportive environment. These classes are perfect for dancers looking to improve their technique, as well as anyone wanting to boost their fitness and confidence.
Whether you're aiming for higher kicks, stronger leaps, improved mobility or simply a healthier, stronger body, this class will help you reach your goals.
Suitable for all abilities – no previous dance experience is required.

Children's Dance Classes in Chesterfield
Welcome to Just Dancing Studios, a friendly and welcoming dance school in the heart of Chesterfield, offering high-quality children's dance classes for ages 2–18. Our aim is to inspire a lifelong love of dance while helping every child build confidence, creativity and friendships in a fun, supportive environment.
We offer a wide range of dance lessons including Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Lyrical and more, with classes suitable for complete beginners through to experienced young dancers. Pupils accepted to Nottingham Musical Theatre Associates 2026!
We’re pleased to share that Eliza & Milly have both been accepted to the Nottingham Musical Theatre Associates 2026. Places are offered by audition only, and both girls successfully beat competition from hundreds of other entries. Congratulations girls, we can’t wait to see what happens next.

Molly Joins ballet britain & yorkshire theatre ballet
We’re beyond thrilled for Molly who has been invited to join a year long training programme in Leeds with Yorkshire Theatre Ballet & Ballet Britain. She will train with industry professionals before performing in full length professional ballet in 2027. Molly is following in the footsteps of Miss Alex with this opportunity and we’re ready to support her all the way.

Dancers from JDS to appear in Chesterfield Panto 2026
Our senior student’s Lottie & Willow will both be joining the cast of Beauty & the Beast, Chesterfields 2026 Panto. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to experience life as a professional performer and create memories that will last a lifetime. Catch them at the 1435 Theatre in from December-January!
